That is not to say that I invented mittens, just that these are my first attempt at them. They were made using this pattern. Yarn is an 80/20 (acrylic/wool) blend. The gauge is a little looser than I'd like, but in spite of that, they resisted the snow pretty well. I wouldn't suggest this prototype as your first alternative for long term snow exposure, but in terms of a decent mitten, these aren't bad. All told, I'd say it took about 12 hours for the pair. Which is awesome.

Mittens v1.0
